Reworked XP Distribution and Level Up

Experience Points (XP) Overview

Experience Points (XP) determine your character's level and let you level up your ability scores and increase your Health points and Armor class depending on your character's race and class combination.

How to Earn XP

1. Skill Check Success

The most common way to earn XP is through successful skill checks during gameplay.

XP Rewards by Difficulty:

  • Very Easy (DC 1-5): 10 XP
  • Easy (DC 6-9): 25 XP
  • Medium (DC 10-15): 50 XP
  • Hard (DC 16-20): 75 XP
  • Very Hard (DC 21-29): 100 XP
  • Extreme (DC 30+): 200 XP

Important: You only earn XP for successful skill checks. Failed attempts grant 0 XP.

2. Quest Completion

Completing entire campaigns grants substantial XP bonuses based on your character's level:

What XP Depends On

Skill Check Factors:

  1. Action Complexity: More complex actions have higher DCs and reward more XP
  2. Character Level: Higher-level characters face tougher challenges
  3. Character Class & Race: Different combinations affect skill check difficulty
  4. Equipment & Background: Your character's gear and history influence challenges
  5. Success Rate: Only successful attempts grant XP
  6. Critical Success: Rolling a natural 20 always succeeds and grants full XP
  7. Critical Failure: Rolling a natural 1 always fails and grants 0 XP
  8. Character Level: Higher levels earn more quest completion XP

Overview

We've implemented a comprehensive skill keyword system that allows the ability to recognize and respond to various skill-related actions and checks. This system supports multiple languages and covers many skill categories.

New Skill Categories Added

Athletics

Physical activities and feats of strength

  • Climbing, jumping, leaping, vaulting
  • Swimming, lifting, hoisting, grappling
  • Wrestling, sprinting, dashing, endurance
  • Pushing, pulling, carrying, dragging

Acrobatics

Agility and balance-based activities

  • Balancing on narrow ledges and slippery surfaces
  • Diving, somersaults, flips, cartwheels
  • Handsprings, swinging, contorting
  • Evading, dodging, landing, vaulting over obstacles

Sleight of Hand

Manual dexterity and subtle manipulation

  • Pickpocketing, stealing, concealing items

Stealth

How It Works

The AI now recognizes when you're attempting skill-related actions and will automatically calculate the skill check in accordance with the situation and your ability scores. Simply describe what you want to do, and the system will identify the relevant skill category.

Example Usage

  • "I try to climb the wall" → Athletics check
  • "I sneak past the guards" → Stealth check
  • "I examine the ancient runes" → Arcana check
  • "I read the guard's body language" → Insight check

Added "Proficiency Bonus"

Every Character now has a "proficiency Bonus" to one of their ability scores depending on the class of the character. The bonus increases with increase in the respective ability score.

Reworked Armor Class and Health Points

Armor Class and Health points are now calculated using the D&D 5e ruleset. So depending on your ability scores and your race, class, level of the character combination your Health and armor class are calculated.

Reworked Items, Abilities and Spells

  • Items, abilities and spells now have detailed descriptions.
  • You can generate images of items, abilities and spells.
  • Items also have rarity (common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary) and can be sold for the gold value.

Improved Image Generation

Some more vile and a little gory images can now be made. If not, gems will be refunded automatically.

UI/UX Updates

  • New foldable side panels in the game.
  • Summary of everything that happened in your campaign viewable via this side panel.
  • More responsive chatbox in game.
  • New design for the whole character sheet.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a crash when "loot" was the first thing typed in the game.
  • Fixed subscriptions still showing up even though it was canceled.
  • Made it possible to upgrade from smaller to a bigger subscription.
